TurboBackup – Backup Utility for Windows
Wondering why it is a good idea to backup your important data? If you don’t know, here’s a brief and to the point explanation: in case something goes wrong and your data is compromised, you have a backup; you will not lose your important data after a malware attack or after some hardware failure.
Director of Technical Education with Eset, Randy Abrams says it best: “if your data is important enough to put on a hard drive, be sure you back it up.” There are numerous applications out there that can help you backup your data. Out of them all I would like to draw attention to the FileStream Inc-developed, the aptly named TurboBackup.
Here is the functionality you can expect to get from this application:
- Manually backup your important data or schedule backup tasks to be performed automatically.
- Easy to use backup templates: Registry, Photos, Videos, Documents, iPhone, iTunes, Music, Palm, E-mails, Google, Mozilla, and Skype.
- Easily create a System Restore Point.
- Prepare Backup feature tells you much data will be backed up and gives you an estimate about space requirement and the number of discs needed for the backup.
- Full, partial, and previous version restore
- Password protect backups.
Before you go get TurboBackup and put it to the test, take a look at the technical details presented below:
Download – the download weighs in at 5.5MB.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, TurboBackup provides support for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Limitations – you can use TurboBackup free of charge for a trial period of 30 days. Once that trial period is over, you will have to get a license to keep using the application.
Give TurboBackup a try if you are looking for a powerful yet easy to use application to backup your important data.
